The draft of Annette soup by TAIYANGGUODU The draft of Annette soup by TAIYANGGUODU
It's not rotoscope. This work base on Édouard Vuillard(1868-1940)'s oil painting"annette soup",I always want to perform my favor toward him by make an animation like this.

I'm sorry, because of my poor english, even though I have received so many comments and questions,I am afraid I can't answer them all in detail.

What I can do is to answer some of them, with the help of my friends, which I think are typical,I am sorry!

First, about the CG Animation, at this point, my ID make me look like I am trying to judge whatever animation is good or bad.I do not mean it, I just want to demonstrate that I like Hand-Painted Animation and Stop-Motion Animation reasons. I have studied CG Animation for 4 years, but eventually I chose Hand-Painted Animation, please trust me I have been giving a lot of thought to it,so it's not just a spur of the moment.

A friend comments that he believes the difference between traditional sculpture and CG is that CG won't dirty your hand. Yes, CG will not dirty your hand, however, neither you can feel the rock with your own hand, nor you will know the real strength of the sculpting while knife within rock.I believe the difference is tremendous when you feel the model of an apple in the computer and a real natural apple in your hand.nowadays,We have the most powerful computers, but we still can not forecast weather accurately.Due to high randomness, computer can only figue out a small part of it,and the rest of it is pure mysterious force of nature which can not be calculated. Computer can not calculate when a drop of paint will splash on your finger, computer can not calculate when it will rub the paint on the canvas, computer can not calculate how does this accidental rub could ever effect your works. There is something can not be simulated by computer, because they can not be calculated or deformed by man's will.It is the mysterious force of nature.

It made me happy to hear someone who loves hand drawn animation. I love it too, and prefer it to Computer Generated animation any day.

I agree completely, there is something about hand drawn animation that is lost in CG animation. that something is defiantly in your work, keep up the hard work! Your animation is very well done.
